I lack self confidence and I’m afraid of making mistakes.

“I’m insecure.”

I hate speaking in front of groups.
“I’m nervous.”

I’m easily distracted and end up procrastinating a lot.

I feel isolated, alone and I’ve lost my passion.

“I’m lonely.”

How Tapping Can Help You

What is Tapping?

Tapping, also known as EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques), is a self administered healing technique that was originally developed by Roger Callahan in 1980 and later modified by Gary Craig in the 1990’s. It combines the principles of ancient Chinese acupressure with traditional talk therapy. It is part of a growing field of therapy called “Energy Psychology.” EFT has been studied and documented for over 30 years and has been proven to effectively resolve a variety of issues including anxiety, stress, limiting beliefs, phobias, emotional imbalances, chronic pain, addiction, weight loss, and many others.

What is the Science Behind Tapping?

Tapping therapy revolves around the functions of a specific almond shaped part of our brain called the amygdala. It is part of the body’s limbic system, the source of emotions and long-term memory, and is known as the brain’s fear center. This is where our “flight or fight” response originates and is what alerts other parts of the brain that it senses danger. This triggers the firing of other brain receptors and the release of specific hormones that cause the body to respond to the perceived danger.

How Can I Use Tapping in My Business?

Tapping is a way to actually speak to the subconscious and draw out your deep seated beliefs and unprocessed emotions about your work. As you talk and tap on acupressure points and verbalize what you are consciously thinking and feeling it stimulates your brain to engage with you and have a conversation. For instance, you can tap on things such as fear of being rejected, fear of not being good enough, fear of giving an elevator pitch, feeling overwhelmed about your to-do list, just to name a few. The use for tapping is unlimited.
